VIDEO: Prismacolors on Colored Card Stock featuring Happy Moments & Love for Mom

Hi there and happy Thursday!  It's Tara and today I want to share a new way to use your stamps with colored card stock. I feel like I've been creating a ton of really complicated stuff lately - shaker cards and lots of coloring and details and hours of work - so I wanted to just create a little card making zen with a nice, clean and simple design today.  And this new Happy Moments sentiment stamp set from the July release made it so easy!

First, I heat embossed the giant happy onto some blue card stock.  I love how many complimentary sentiments there are to pair with the happy in this set!  I heat embossed my small sentiments onto black card stock and trimmed them down to small strips.  Using Post-It tape I masked off the top of my card front and stamped the sweet daisy from the Love for Mom stamp set in white pigment ink.  Using the white ink allowed me to get a fun no-line coloring look when I used my white Prismacolor pencil to color in the petals.  I love how the white just pops on this beautiful blue card base!

Finally, I added some black splatters and dashed lines to tie in my black sentiment strips.  As always, I needed a few Sparkling Clear sequins to finish things off.  You gotta have some bling!  Then I rounded the bottom two corners of each card.  I love how simple and sweet these cards turned out!  They are just cheerful!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed this return to clean and simple card making!  I'll see you all next time!  Bye!
