Father's Day Easel Card

Hello!

We have Lisa with us today and she created a fun Father's Day easel card.  I love how she combined the Under Construction and Class Act stamp sets.  This is the card that her kid's are going to give their dad for Father's Day, so the little girl and boy work perfectly on the card.

It's always fun to create a different type of card.  I usually just create a standard fold card, but this easel fold is so neat.

I love how the sentiment is finished on the inside with a few stamped images to match the outside of the card.

Have a great day!

Thinking of You

Hello!

It's Friday and in the states, it's a long weekend with a holiday on Monday!  Woohoo!  More time for crafting, right?  Jung is sharing a super pretty card using the Butterfly Kisses stamp set and Mixed Triangles stencil.  I just love how the stencils can be used to create your own backgrounds.

The cute little butterfly peeking out from the scalloped circle is colored beautifully and even has a little bit of sparkle.  The sentiment fits the card perfectly!

Have a great day!

Vintage Pirate Card + Copic Coloring on Kraft

Hello!

I apologize for our delayed post today, but we had storms and my internet went out!  Tara has an amazing card and video for you today!  She created a card that looks like a vintage map and there are so many fun details to it!

Watch here || Watch on YouTube

She used the new A Pirate's Life stamp set and all of the little stamps that come with it.  There are just so many elements that make this card.  I also love how there are pops of color on the kraft card stock.

The torn edges are so neat and give you an excuse for your card to not be perfect!

I love how Tara always adds a little something extra to the inside of the card to tie it in with the front. So cool!

Have a great day!

You Nailed It!

Hello!

Lisa is here with us today and she has a fun clean and simple card.  She used the nails and sentiment from the Under Construction set.  I love how she heat embossed the nails with a metallic silver embossing powder to make them a little different than the sentiment.

The red and yellow stitched frames are the perfect touch to complete the card.

Have a great day!

Happy Father's Day Card

Hello!

Cassie is sharing the cutest Father's Day Card with us today!  I am absolutely in love with the background and the whole scene!  She used the new Under Construction set for this card.

I am definitely going to have to create a background like this with my Distress Inks.  It is the perfect color combination for this card.  I also love how the cones look so realistic because they are covered in Glossy Accents.

The fun part about this stamp set is that you can build your own sentiment.  So fun!

Have a great day!

Selective Stenciling Video Tutorial

Hello!

We had our May Release on Friday and now we are ready to share some more awesome projects with the new stamps!  Jess is joining us today for a cool technique using the Butterfly Kisses stamp set and Ice Cream Cone Stencil.

Watch here || Watch on YouTube

The red and pink background combination is gorgeous!  I love how it is masked off so there is a clean edge all the way around.  She also kept the stamping simple by just stamping the butterflies with black ink.
A few pink sequins and the sentiment to complete the card!

Have a great Monday!

INTRODUCING: Under Construction

Hello!

It's out final day of introductions!  The new stamps will be in the shop tonight at 7 AM CST and there will be a coupon code, so make sure to check out the blog and social media tomorrow.  Today we are introducing the Under Construction set.  This is perfect for masculine cards!

Tara created an amazing card by doing some masking with this set.  I love how all of the machines are stamped in a dark gray on the lighter gray card stock.

Don't forget to stamp the inside of your card too with a sentiment and matching stamps.

I love how the construction worker stands out against the background.  Tara's coloring is amazing!

She also added a shadow behind the construction worker to make it pop off the card.  There is the little hammer that fits perfectly into his hand.  I cannot wait to see all of the amazing cards that will be created with this set!

Have a great day!

INTRODUCING: Butterfly Kisses

Hello!

Are you ready for Day 2 of our Introductions?  We are excited to share the new Butterfly Kisses set with you today!  These butterflies are so fun to color, or even just stamp in colored ink.  There is also a vine that is the perfect background for these butterflies.

Lisa created a very pretty card with the Butterfly Kisses set.  I loved how she stamped the butterfly twice to make it look 3D.  She also used the Mixed Triangles stencil to create a subtle background that looks beautiful with the butterfly.

The vellum heart is a nice touch with the Electric sequins.

Have a great day!

INTRODUCING: A Pirate's Life

Hello!

Today starts the introductions of our new stamp sets for May.  I am absolutely in love with this release and I think you will be too!  Let's take a look at the new A Pirate's Life stamp set and a fabulous card by our designer, Cassie!

This is such a fun little scene that she created and the coloring is amazing!  She used the Zig Clean Color Markers to get this look.

Isn't it so neat how much the stamps change when you mask them on a card?  It really brings them to life!

The simple outside edge of the card really ties everything together and completes the card.  I love the little sequin and pearl accents too!

Have a great day!

Custom Card Backgrounds with Mint Owl Studio

Hello!

We hope you're ready for another Mint Monday Video with Jess today!  She created a fun background using the Scripty Sentiments stamp set.  I love to create my own patterned paper with stamps and ink.  You can pick all your own colors and will never run out of patterned paper!

Watch here || Watch on YouTube

She stamped all of the hexagons from the Scripty Sentiments stamp set with a rainbow of inks.  She then heat embossed the owl and sentiment from the Outrageous Owls stamp set with white embossing powder on black card stock.  I love the way the black and white pops against the rainbow background.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Love You Bunches

Happy Friday!

Jung is back with us after a short break and her card will leave you wanting to get out your watercolors!  She stamped the flowers from the Love For Mom set and watercolored them in with gorgeous pinks and reds.  The bright pink card base looks amazing and makes the card "pop!"

She heat embossed the sentiment on a black fish tail banner and added it to the top of the card.  It looks great there and doesn't take away fro the rest of the card.  Finally, there are a few sequins and pearls scattered around.

Have a great weekend,
Tracy

You Rock, Teacher!

Good Morning!

It's hard to believe that it's the end of the school year already!  Graduations are happening and summer is knocking on the door.  Tara created an amazing teacher thank you card to share today.  It's great to show your appreciation to your child's teacher for all of the hard work they do year round.  My mom is a teacher, so I know what goes on in teaching and all of the "behind the scenes."  It's a job that I could never do!

I love all of the little school elements like the ruler on the bottom and the notebook paper.  She used the Class Act set for the apple, sentiment, and pencil that look so cute!  I also love how she created her own sentiment using the different sentiment stamps.

The little bit of red twine and the clear sequins are the perfect finishing touches on this card.

Have a great day!

Color Burst Ice Pops with Mint Owl Studio Stamps

Welcome Back!

We had a little bit of a scheduling error, so you get your Mint Monday video on Wednesday!  I couldn't wait to share this card with you because it is just too pretty!

Watch here || Watch on YouTube

Jess used her Color Burst on a piece of watercolor card stock and let it dry.  She then masked off part of the popsicle from the Ice Cream, You Scream stamp set and stamped them onto the dry Color Burst card stock.  She also stamped each of the popsicles onto her card base.  After cutting out the Color Burst popsicle, she glued them onto the card base.

To finish the card, she colored in the sticks, stamped the sentiment, and rounded the corners.

Have a great day!

Thanks for Helping Me Grow

Hello!

Lisa is joining us today with a pretty tone on tone card.  She used the Love For Mom set and masked off the individual flowers and sprigs.  I love how simple this card is, but it has such a visual impact.  It also shows how you can use this stamp set for something besides Mother's Day.

The scalloped edges with the stitching is such a fun little touch.

Have a great day!

Sweet Birthday

Hello!

Cassie is joining us today with a fun birthday card!  She created her background with the Honeycomb Dot stencil and used some gorgeous colors.  I really love how this stencil looks on backgrounds.

She then used the Coffee Craze stamp set to make what looks like (at least to me) a glass of lemonade.  How creative is that?  You can use it for someone who is not a coffee drinker!

I also love how this card has the element of a shaker card with the sequins in the heart that is die cut out.

Have a great day!

Stencil Technique + Gansai Tambi Watercoloring (Video Tutorial)

Hello!

Tara has a new video tutorial for us today where she uses the Ice Cream, You Scream stamp set and Ice Cream Cone Stencil.  I love the technique she did with the stencil because it is one that I have never done before.  Also, her coloring with the Gansai Tambi watercolors is gorgeous!

Watch here || Watch on YouTube

She started by blending three different Distress Inks on her background.  Then, she sprayed the stencil itself with water and laid it down over the Distress Inks.  It creates a distressed and vintage look.

She then heat embossed the ice cream images with white embossing powder and watercolored them in with the Gansai Tambi watercolors.

I love how she used some of the scraps and an extra ice cream cone on the inside.  Great idea!

Have a great day!

Colored Vellum Ice Cream Card

 Good Morning!

Lisa is joining us with a technique she learned how to do in the new Online Card Classes class.  She colored on a piece of vellum and then overlaid that on her stamped images from the Ice Cream, You Scream stamp set.

She attached the sentiment with two staples and added in a few Electric sequins.  I love the bright, bold color combination!  It looks very much like summer!

Have a great day!
