VIDEO Watercoloring with Distress Inks featuring Sweet Treats

Hi all and happy September!!  Yay!  It's Tara and today I am sharing a card that was so much fun to create and could be easily and quickly replicated!  I used the Sweet Treats stamp set along with my Distress Inks to create a fun piece of patterned paper inspired by a coloring book page.

First, I stamped a piece of Distress Watercolor card stock using VersaFine pigment ink with cupcakes and candies.  The pigment ink stays wet long enough to apply clear embossing powder over the top and when you heat set it you get a shiny, raised pattern that adds a lot of dimension and interest to your project.

Next, I squished some Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Inks on my craft mat and added a little water.  I used my water brush to apply the water to the background of my patterned paper.  Once I was happy with the background I added some sparkle with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins.

For added dimension I die cut a panel out of the center of my piece and popped it up on some craft foam.  My sentiment is white heat embossed on black and attached using mini staples.

Thank you so much for joining me today!  I'll see you again soon!  Bye!

  1. So sweet Tara. I bet that sparkle looks gorgeous! (I am outside watching this so I can't see any details but the card looks fantastic!) Love those cupcakes, so cute!
